It seems to be about half way between a Fury and a Gladiator in terms of performance, as well as the date of entry into service. Its armament is comparable with the Fury.

Kawasaki Ki.10 'Perry" Timeline

 

September 1934: The Koku Hombu instructed Kawasaki to design a high-performance

     biplane fighter and Nakajima to develop a fighter monoplane. Nakajima produced

     produced the 261 mph. Ki.11 monoplane but the IJAAF went with the more maneuverable

      and faster climbing Ki.10.

 

March 1935: The 1st Ki.10 prototype was completed. It  was designed by Takeo Doi

     and engineers Imachi and Tojo,

     Engine: Kawasaki Ha-9-IIa: 850 hp./T.O.,    700 hp./S.L.,   800 hp./3,500 m.

     This engine powered all production Ki.10s.

 

December 1935: Production began on the Army Type 95 Fighter Model 1 (Ki.10)

     Normal combat weight: 1,650 Kg. (3,638 lb.)

     Maximum Speed: 400 km./h / 3000 m. (248.5 mph./9,845 ft.)

     Climb: 5,000 m./5.0 minutes (3,2080 fpm./avg.)

     Service Ceiling: 10,000 m. (32,800 ft.)

     Range: 1,100 km. (684 ml.)

     Wing Area: 215.277 sq. ft.

     Power Loading: 4.5475 lb./hp.

     Wing Loading: 16.90 lb./sq. ft.

     Armament: 2 x 7.7 mm. type 89 machine guns.

 

June 1937: Production began on the Model 2 (Ki.10-II)

     Normal combat weight: 1,740 kg. (3,836 lb.)

     Maximum Speed 400 km/h

     Climb: 5,000 m./5.0 minutes

     Service Ceiling: 11,500 m. (37,730 ft.)

     Range: 1,100 km.

     Wing Area: 247.569 sq. ft. (increased)

     Power Loading: 4.795

     Wing Loading: 15.49 lb./sq. ft.

     Armament: 2 x 7.7 type 89 machine guns.

 

October 1936: One Ki.10-I Kai prototype was produced from the 200th

     Ki.10-I. The specifications for this cleaned up model were the following:

     Engine: Kawasaki Ha-9-IIa

     Normal Loaded Weight: 1,650 kg.

     Maximum Speed: 420 km/h (261 mph)

     Climb: 5,000 m./5.0 minutes

     Service Ceiling: 10,000 m.

     Range: 1,000 km.

     Wing Area: 215.277 sq. ft.

 

November 1937: Two Ki.10-II Kai prototypes were produced and while

     their performance was impressive the IJAAF decided to go with the

     modern Nakajima Ki.27.

     Engine: Kawasaki Ha-9-IIb: 850 hp/T.O., 700 hp/S.L., 950 hp./3,800 m.

     Normal Loaded Weight: 1,780 kg. (3,924 lb.)

     Maximum Speed: 445 km/h (276.5 mph.)

     Climb: 5,000 m./5.0 minutes.

     Service Ceiling: 11,500 m. (37,730 ft.)

     Range: 1,000 km. (621 ml.)

     Wing Area: 247.569 sq. ft.

     Power Loading: 4.131 lb./hp.

     Wing Loading: 15.85 lb./sq. ft.

Production: 588 Ki.10s were built by Kawasaki Kokuki Kogyu K.K. at Gifu.

     4 x Ki.10 prototypes (spring 1935)

 300 x Ki.10-I production aircraft (December 1935 - October 1937)

     1 x Ki.10-II prototype (May 1936)

 280 x Ki.10-II production aircraft (June 1937 - December 1938)

     1 x Ki.10-I Kai prototype (October 1936)

     2 x Ki.10-II Kai prototypes (November 1937)
