thats a possibility, but it is stated in HP. german and italian power units are given in cv or ps in their manual, whereas japan is using hp. there is the slight altitude discrepancy too. However, in the case of the Kinsei 62 engine for example, power given there is 1580 HP at takeoff according to taic, 1500 hp in the japanese rating. but, as you have shown, japan might have used ps/cv. Although i think by now, it would be well known. japan appear to use a mix of metric and imperial, mainly with the naval aircraft using kt for top speed. :)

The Aircraft Performance section is intended as a depository of actual known performance figures, preferably backed with references to show where it came from.

It is not a place to hold debates (we have the rest of the forum for that)

It is definitely not a place to continue debates started on other forums

It is not a place for figures that can't be backed with references

It is not a place for figures lifted from flight sim games, however accurate you think they might be

So let us all take a pause and think carefully before proceeding
