A 14 year old farmboy from the northern part of Denmark was educated about the German occupation at school and talked about it at home.
His father urged Him to use the opportunity to search for the crashed German aircraft of wich the grandad have had a tale.
By use of a metal detector He soon found smaller debries close to the surface, but the 'big PING' had to excavated from about 6 meters of depth.
Engine; wheels and electric harness was soon found, but with the remains of the pilot and ammonution had the police to be informed where after the coroner; the army and the German embassy became involved!

Update:
The stack of debris are now exhibited as a floor silhuette of a Bf109 with the debris placed on the actual spot where it belongs:
