The predecessor to the reknown F4U Corsair was the Vought O2U Corsair Biplane of 1926.
As being widely exported, even to Luftwaffe, it saw combat at many fronts world over, but it's most remarkable battle was to shoot down King Kong from Empire State Building.

I can't reckognize wich aircraft it is (If any but a Hollywood mock-up), but in difference to the four should the vertical (damper?) struts at the undercarriage be a give away!? IMG_4484.JPG 47.03KB 0 downloads

The remarkable spherical cockpit of the Boeing B-29 isn't designed by the wish of streamlining, but due to the fact the cockpit was pressurised!
