I was at this museum in 2010 and then again in 2016.  The MiG-29 was my favorite plane there as well!

Beside is the MIG-29 the only Soviet fighter wich have flewn under NATO colours due to the numbers inheritaged by Luftwaffe from DDR after the fall of the Iron Curtain!


I know it is a rather old reply. But the Mig 29 was/is not the only Soviet Fighter in NATO service.

The Czech republic was still operating Mig 21s when they joined NATO. At least until 2005/2006. I did see some Czech 21's in Belgium during an exercise around that time...

And Poland is still oprating the Sukhoi 22 besides the Mig 29...

And even the US Air Force was operating different species of Migs in the 70'& 80's...They even have some Sukhoi 27's flying around these days....
