È stato recuperato il relitto dell'aereo caccia della Regia Aeronautica «Reggiane Re 2000», affondato al largo di Porto Venere (La Spezia) durante la Seconda guerra mondiale. Il velivolo, pilotato dall'allora ventisettenne spezzino maresciallo Luigi Guerrieri, medaglia d'argento al valor militare, ammaro' il 16 aprile 1943 a causa di un'avaria al motore. Dopo appena tre giorni di attività operativa preparatoria, ieri pomeriggio la società Micoperi ha proceduto al recupero del relitto che ora, grazie al concorso di diverse amministrazioni dello Stato, potrà essere restaurato ed esposto nel Museo Storico dell'Aeronautica militare. Il relitto, localizzato nell'aprile 2012, si trovava a una ventina di metri di profondità (Ansa)

 

The Regia Aeronautica plane ditched off Porto Venere (La Spezia - Italy) during WWII. The pilot, 26 yars old maresciallo Luigi Guerrieri, was forced to ditch the plane after an engine failure on the 16th of April 1943.
