Hey
I've had a nice idea ... why don't you add yourself to TGPLANES frappr Map (http://www.frappr.com/thegreatplanes)? It would be nice to see our geographical distribution over the map :D
P.S. BTW Tgplanes redesigning has turn into a whole juggernaut panzer work that will last for ages! :D But I will impress you all ... you'll like it, I promise :)

I've just tried but despite being able to zoom right in to my actual street I can't add myself to this becasuse I keep getting an error message saying to add my 5 digit post code. Unfortunately in the UK most post codes are 7 digits and a combination of numbers and letters.

There is a thing that says "Outside US?" or something similar. You should then be asked to name your location.

Ah, yes that would explain it. Problem solved now.
Actually, I didn't try to add my whole address I just noticed that I can zoom right in to my actual street on the map!

Can't even get close with my address....
In either the map or satelite modes.

It worked perfectly for me, thanks!
(I had heard of Google-Earth magic and was willing to see this on my computer, but it was only for Windows-2000/NT/XP and not for my Windows-98, while with this Google Frappr that I did not know, I have seen the satellite view of my area, great! Thanks again, Admin!:D)

Help!!!
I added my five-digit postal zone here in Germany, and I ended up being moved to Lesterville, Missouri in the Good Old USA! I don't have anything against Lesterville, I'm sure its a very nice place, but I have never even been there. How do I get back to Buedingen, Germany? I'M GOING TO BE LATE FOR SUPPER!!!
Regards,
Lightning

Even though Germany has a 5-digit system too, try clicking the "Outside USA" button.

It can since by zooming right in on Ashford, Kent I can get right down to my street in enough detail that I could put the mouse pointer on roughly where my house is in that street!

Man, this is pretty nice! I can see my swimming pool, the tree in the front of my house, and the cars in my driveway.

depends, some areas are covered at much higher resolution than others (much of the world looks like ~30m or less, a lot is at ~10m, but elsewhere is at ~1m - which is fantastic!)

I think the person who started the Frappr map (Taglia?) can delete your entry, if you are not a member. Then you can start again....

Alternatively, if you have a Frappr account you can change your details, or delete them.
If you don't have an account, go to the entry point at the bottom, click the create account box and resubmit your entry (don't change the data). It will say you are already on the map, but it will create an account for you.
You can then edit your details on the map page.

I can delete double entries. Just send me a mail or post here (a mail is better :) )

Well, it doesn't have a map for Brisbane, so I'm just 'oh, somewhere in the general vicinity', lol.

Holy flippen' crap! That is so dang neat.
I'm on there now.
Come on over to Poor Reds for a whisky. I'm buying!
My town is a gold rush town that stayed. It used to be called 'Mud Springs'. So much history and its beautiful too.

My marker is about an eighth of a mile off though. I'm further to the south. The land mark is the ancient lumber mill that is still in operation. (big dirt patch to the south)That's right across the street from me.
