Hi
since I'm a Seti@Home (http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/stats/team/team_166982.html) user, i decided to found a Seti@Home group of this website. Maybe someone else of you also use this program: for those who don't know what is it, it's a screen-saver that does some analysis on Arecibo radio-telescope's data. Officially it's intended for searching extraterrestrial life signs in space radio frequencies, but I think that this also useful because it helps analysis of a "big chunk" of interesting data ... who knows if it will be useful in the future (remember, many discoveries in history came out with no apparent meaning).

Why the screensaver? Because there is so much data to analyze, that Seti group couldn't process by itself. So they created this program that make smaller chunks of data that you download and analyze on your PC with the screensaver (in the idle time of your PC). So, this is a sort of "parallel internet-working" that really speeds up the analysis.

At last, if you are interested in joining the group, or to know more about this, just follow this link : http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/stats/team/team_166982.html
