Heyho,
any sites known or knowledge about combat sorties or the Heinkel He-111B itself during the Spanish Civil War?

Look, isn´t that a beautiful bird??

You can use MY site, but now it's in Russian only :)

I can translate and post the available information here, if you want to.

Hi Che,

That He-111B surly is a beautiful airplane. I especially like the planform of the wing.

The model shown in your posting is great looking. Did you build it yourself?

Regards,
Lightning

@i16stealth,thx for that. With pleasure, everythin you can get about the engagement of the Heinkels ;)

@Lightnin´
Unfortunately it´s not my model, it looks very good indeed, but I´ve never seen a model kit of the B-Version, so I wondered. Perhaps he used scratch-building to build it ?!
By teh way it seems that the B-Version looks a little bit like a small B-17.

Regards,
Che.

The model was built by a fella named Matt Swan.

Here's the conversion set he used:

Here's some statistics about He.111:

First He.111B-1 (30 planes) appeared in Spain in 1937, later nationalists received about 30 He-111B-1 and B-2 (in total 95, counting He.111E). The only republican plane capable to shot it down was I-16. During the war 37 He.111s was lost, at least nine of them (types are unknown) were shot by "Ishak". In 08/13/1938 one He.111 (probably B) was landed by republican I-16s and later sent to USSR.
