I've just recieved a 1/48 Polikarpov Rata via e-Bay.

Does anyone know of any pictures available on the internet of the interior colours, both cockpit and the likes of the wheel-wells of the undercarriage of the Rata?

I know there was a fair bit of variation in Soviet production methods and aircraft's interiors in particular were probably just painted with whatever the factory had spare at the time (if at all), but I'd like to have a picture to base it on if possible.

Similarly, does anyone have any idea what sort of colours Soviet pilot's flight suits were? Colour pictures would ideal, if anyone knows of any.

Note: I'm not being lazy and expecting everyone to do my research for me, I plan to have a bit of a trawl through the 'net later, but if anyone knows of good starting points it would be appreciated! :D

Hello Again Simon,

You could always ask the New Zealand airforce to stick a camera into the wheel bays

Looks like the Rata is a quite popular choice, eh Trexx?

I got this in response on another Forum I frequent from a gentleman named Tiso:

Try here:

They have few extensive articles of camouflage (research section) and diferent types (modeling section) of Yastrebok. Check also galery and building articles (in modeling section).
