I am looking for a TBF Trainer (and pilot/owner) to give my dad a ride for his birthday. He was a naval aviator in WW II and Korea and piloted the TBF Avenger off carriers.
When he left the navy he purchased three Stearmans (one for his brother and one for parts) to operate a crop dusting business in upper state NY. A few years back I rented a stearman (in FL) for his birthday and it was a wonderful weekend. He made a three point landing his first try! It was very emotional for him and this is the only thing I can think of to top that birthday.
If anybody knows of anybody or company that has one of these that is still airworthy, could you help?
