Does anyone know if the side skins of the four pieces which comprise the cowling were made from one piece of aluminum or were ther more pieces?
I know that the ring, or forward-most part of the cowling, had a double row of rivets; one to hold the 'side' sheet on, the other to hold the inner piece, but I don't have any close-up shots of the cowling sides to determine if it was made with more than one chunk of aluminum.
I'm covering a 1/8th scale (62 inch ws) model and want it accurate!
I'm using 0.0015 inch thick dead soft aluminum sheet to cover it and going "down to the rivets" in detail.
Thanks for any help
Sandy
