Howdy fellas,

I´ve just got another biggles comic, published in germany as the "Tanz der Spitfire", I got also the first one, "Stuka and Lancaster". I was very surprised by the accurate drawing and the rather entertaining stories. Does someone of you read them aswell ?

Those are pretty good comics, more real then the inhabitants of Duckburg ;)

I haven't read any of the comics but I've lots of the books. Some of the best ones are adventure stories that aren't much to do with aircraft at all.

I thought Biggles is a fictive RAF flying officer? I´ve also one of the books, this series is called Biggles recounts, the falklands war. Very good reading stuff, indeed.

Biggles was created by WE Johns in between WWI and WWII. There are lots of story books rather than graphic novels, I think over 50 in total. There's some from WWI, some from WWII, some with the Special Air Police, and some are just pure adventure. One of my favourites is Biggles in the Cruise of the Condor which is an adventure story set in the Amazon. Biggles defies the Swastika is very good as well, it tells of Biggles' exploits during the German invasion of Norway in WWII.
