I publish a newsletter on Magnesium Metal. I have found that all of the engine bearers in the major Germn aircraft were forged magnesium. That is from the Stuka, ME109, ME110 and others. In a report by investigators after the war there is a report that the ARado 196 was an all magnesium aircraft. While there was a lot of sheet magnesium used on many German Aircraft...ie theCondor 200, Ju88, it would not seem that magnesium sheet would be used on a sea plane such as the AR196. Does anyone have any information on the use of magnesium in these aircraft.
