Dear Members,

Can anyone of you help me to find the registrations of a HalifaxII-bomber and a P-47 Thunderbold?
Of the HalifaxII-bomber have I the following information the Serialnumber BB214,Sqn.103 and his registration begins with PM-.
The plane was on a bombing mission to Nürnberg when he was shot down by a German fighter, the crashed in the Laacher See its happend on August 29,1942.

Hi Zorro,

There may be a way to help you; there is a series of books that list where and when all individual Bomber Command Aircraft and Crew that were lost. Until recently a set of Copies of theses books could be found in the local Library however they may have been removed with the EU censorship “laws”.
That is the directive to create new cultural identities but I will try to get a copy because it will give you the best clue possible. However it may take a few weeks.
