View Full Version : My Fond Farewell

Hey Guys,
just to let you know that after 5 years I am bringing my time here to a close.
I am sad to be going - this has always been my favourite of all the Internet Forums I have ever visited. The people are nice, the subject is interesting (though admittedly the discussions on engines often confuse the hell outta me:D) and I even got to do GOT topics.:)
Please, keep doing what you do best - love the Great Planes, and disagree without being disagreeable.
God Bless you all,
Richard

Hi Ricky,
I don't know quite what to say. Although we've never met in person, I've gotten to know you over the years to the extent that your leaving makes me feel that I'm truly losing a friend.
You have been an integral part of this forum--so much so that it can never be the same here without you. I've always appreciated your courtesy, admired your knowledge, and respected your opinions. You've always been a true gentleman.
I won't pry into your reasons for leaving, but I will ask one thing of you. Please leave open the possibility of your returning at a future time. You know that you will be welcomed back by one-and-all--especially me.
Warmest regards and happy landings,
Lightning

Hi Ricky,
sorry, I wasn't very aware about this thread. The note you want to leave makes me feel a slight kind of panic. Not only that I shall miss you personally, as anybody here will, Kutscha and me still need you for updating the "German expressions", if necessary. May I remind you that you still have moderator status here? I say this because Simon did not show up for a long time now, and Paolo also does not on a regular base.
BTW, I really would like to know why you go as long as you still enjoy the forum. No need to tell us about details nobody needs to know.
Hopefully not last regards, RT:(

Hmm, yes. I had forgotten that I was ducking responsibilities.
I shall visit at least weekly, just to check up on things. If anything happens that you need me for, PM me, or e-mail richard_luton at hotmail.com
But obviously with 'at' replaced by @

Very sorry to see you go Ricky and hope if you get the time you pop back to say 'hi' occasionally.

Hi
I am sorry to have seen this only now,but the latest months have been very busy for me as I have relocated and got a new job in UK (in London, quite close to Ricky I think :) )
well, whatever reason you have for this i respect them and wish you good luck, and remind the door is always open! I might also search for a new moderator,so that you don t have any hassle about this. Anyway if any of you need me for something, please drop me a mail at VORTEXMIND on GMAIL ... I read it daily!

You must have been an important character here, judging by the posts of the old members. Hoping you the best in life, pal. Happy flying!

RAF Hendon is easy to reach by train from London. It is well worth a visit - they have a Sunderland!
