Conservation work on the P2V Neptune at RAF Cosford museum. Open up the engine panels and give everything a good clean. The panels are quite challenging to get open, but putting them back into position is worse as there are about 4 catches that have to line up.

Where is this museum? If I come back to UK, I'll surely drop by :)

This is from RAF Cosford museum which is just west of Birmingham. Theres a fair variety of planes there and definitely enough for a day. My favourite display is probably the TSR2 there but are Valiant, Victor and Vulcan together in one of the other hangars.

I was out at the local airport when I noticed a gentleman signing copies of his books about time spent in the Neptune.
It was titled:
"Two Turning and Two Burning."

This is more a case of two not burning and two filled with water and bird's nests.

We were working on a 1954 MiG-15/LIM-1 last week thats in pretty much pristine condition by comparison. Its built like a tractor and everything fits into place unlike the P2V.
